PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Glaze ’N Seal Stain Defense Sealer is an exciting “State-ofthe-Art” “Natural Look” penetrating sealer for water, oil and stain resistance on all granites, marble, fine stone, tile and masonry.

SPECIAL FEATURES Stain Defense is a “state-of-the-art” premium, oil and water repellent. It maintains a “Natural Look” appearance while forming a barrier that resists moisture, stains and mildew. Suitable for interior and exterior freeze/thaw areas, vertical and horizontal areas. This product is breathable and does not leave a surface coating. Stain Defense Sealer is VOC compliant. This product may also be used as a pre-sealer and as a grout sealer.

TEST FIRST! Due to differences in materials, always test product in several small inconspicuous areas to determine suitability of product for your use. Surface must be free of all surface coatings and waxes, and must be clean and dry. Remove any wax and polish finishes with Glaze ’n Seal Stone Stripper. To remove permanent sealers use Glaze ’n Seal Paint Coating and Sealer Stripper. Let dry overnight before applying sealant.
APPLICATION On new installations, apply to all surfaces before grouting to assist in easy clean-up and to resist grout staining. Apply liberal amount of Stain Defense with a new clean brush, roller, or paint pad. Allow sealant to soak into surface. On very porous surfaces a second coat may be applied one hour later. Allow to dry overnight before grouting. After grout has cured and tile has been thoroughly cleaned, apply an additional coat of Stain Defense over the entire surface including grout. Wipe excess sealant from surface after 10 minutes with a clean towel. Cure Time: Stain Defense cures in 24 hours. Allow surface to dry for 4 hours or overnight, before allowing traffic. Keep surface free from staining materials for 72 hours.
NOTE: Apply when temperature is between 50ºF – 90ºF. Avoid puddling and rundown. If sealant comes in contact with surrounding surface, wipe off. If residue appears, reapply some Stain Defense and buff surface with a clean towel. Coverage rate of Stain Defense Sealer will vary widely depending on porosity and absorbency rate of surface to be sealed. Temperature and application method will also affect coverage. One quart will seal between 50-400 square feet. In most instances, expense of labor exceeds material cost of sealing project. Do not under apply the product as the labor cost of doing the job twice exceeds the material costs.
Maintenance: Surface should be kept clean using Glaze ’n Seal Neutral Cleaner as needed. Stain Resistance Tests: Independent test for staining (CTI-T- 72) has shown Stain Defense to be extremely effective against a variety of contaminants on a wide range of surfaces, including marble, quarry tile, limestone, concrete tile and saltillo tile.
WARRANTY Glaze ’n Seal Products liability, either expressed or implied, is limited solely to the replacement of this product when proven to be defective and does not include any labor costs or consequential damages. It is the user’s responsibility to determine the safety, toxicity and suitability of this product.
